SM2-MP Slide-Out Step

Compartment Depth *

Enter the exact depth of the compartment or truck bed to the nearest 1/4″. Call 800-374-1134 for depths over 96″.

Compartment Width *

Enter the exact width of the compartment or truck bed to the nearest 1/4″. Subtract the size of any opening lip or obstruction. Call 800-374-1134 for widths over 60″.

Tray

Select your deck or tray material here. We recommend 3/16″ Aluminum for all slides with over 1,000lb capacities. Standard lips on aluminum trays stand 2″ tall on all 4 sides, but more custom options are available.

Powder Coat

Add a powder coated finish to your slide to protect from moisture and road salt to add life to your SlideMaster! (Adds about 1 week to production time.)

Slide Lock

We recommend using double turn handles for any steps or platforms on which operators will be standing on them. This is a safety feature that ensures the slide will not retract, and also ensures a smooth extension of the slide, as many steps are much wider than they are deep.

Lock Stops

Guide Bearings

Guide bearing help to stabilize slides when extended and are required for slides that have a width twice or more of the depth.

Shims

Shims are extra material under the mounting foot to make sure the slide can get over tailgates that don’t lay flat, lips on compartment doors, or other obstruction. Most pickup truck slides need a 1″ shim to make sure the slide doesn’t hit the tailgate when extended. If you have questions or require shims greater than 6″ please call 800-374-1134.

Description

Pull-out steps are made from SM2-MP or SM3-MP model frames, and typically have double turn handles. Those that are twice as wide as deep will have guide bearings as well to ensure smooth, unbinding extension and retraction. We recommend powder coating steps for added protection from the elements, especially if used as an underbody step.
